You can now set a retention period for each form and let OpnForm automatically delete submissions once they become old enough. This makes it easier to enforce a clear data-retention policy without recurring manual cleanup.
Choose an exact number of days, weeks, months, or years, or use a shortcut for 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, or 1 year. The retention period is measured from each submission’s last update, and eligible submissions are removed during the next hourly cleanup.
How to use it
- Open a form in the editor and select Settings.
- Go to Submission Settings.
- Under Submission Retention, enable Automatically delete old submissions.
- Enter a value and choose Days, Weeks, Months, or Years, or select a shortcut.
- Click Publish Form to save the policy.
Good to know
- Automatic deletion is configured separately for each form and is off by default.
- The policy applies to completed and partial submissions.
- Deleted submissions, their version history, and uploaded files cannot be restored.
- Shortening a retention period can make existing submissions eligible for deletion during the next hourly cleanup.
- Turning the setting off stops future automatic cleanup, but it does not restore deleted data.
